Jul 23, 2020 · The intended order of the series is Dragon Ball -> Dragon Ball Z/Kai -> Dragon Ball Super/GT. The movies are side stories that take place outside of the main storyline but can be slotted in various pieces of the story. I would suggest watching the TV specials: Bardock during the Saiyan saga and the Trunks special after his introduction in Season 4.

Jan 5, 2021 · Watch it in order. Dragon Ball GT is not canon, like the old movies. The original Dragon Ball comes first. The second part is Dragon Ball Z or Kai. The difference between the two is that Kai cuts down the filler and the dub is more faithful to Japanese. Around episode 64 stop and watch History of Trunks and later continue after you watch it.

Watch/read Dragon Ball/Z. Watch Battle of Gods and Resurection of F, then read the Super manga, or watch the anime, you can skip the two retelling arcs.
