My guess is crackingpatching took R2R's release, bundled malware into it, claimed it as their own, and released it to 1337x. Idk how to do malware analysis tho, so it's just a guess. included malware in his releases, came here ...

Whatever happens inside of that virtual machine can't affect your "real" system. It has no access to your drives/data either. The worst that could happen is that you end up with a messed up VM image, which doesn't matter ...

I've used Vegas 17 and IDM from them (around the exact same time) and it made my windows defender exclusions blank but it definitely made an exclusion for something considering when I'd run a defender scan it would say "Skipped some items".

They don't crack anything themselves, which means it's either malware or they're just grabbing other people's "cracks" and adding their name to it (a recipe for disaster, as historically not one such repacker has been adept at vetting these cracks and will source them from other ad-driven warez blogs or trackers).

Aug 5, 2021 · Of the programs I have paid for, IDM is the one I use daily. Lifetime licence was worth the cost. install IDM from their website. EagleGet is another good one. However, none is as good as IDM. Edit: fixed a typo. It's most likely a false positive. Even though it says 2016 it still works on it.
Jan 9, 2021 · This is apparently the only torrent on 1337 for the Pro 17 release and is uploaded by CPuploads with a basic "uploader" rank. The torrent is originally from a website called "Crackingpatching (dot)com" so I googled it and found that some people state that some of the uploads contains malware. Others states that it does not.
