Oct 15, 2009 · Change printer to Adobe PDF. Go to the properties tab. Find the button to click to change it to Black/white, and click it. Print the document - it will ask for a file name, so give it something different from the original or you will overwrite the original. Open the new document if it doesn't open automatically.
Jun 15, 2015 · The preflight choices in the current version of Acrobat DC include both convert to grayscale and digital printing b/w. They do not produce the same results. Convert to grayscale may leave a spot plate; and all 4 (CMYK) plates are still there even if content is only on the black plate.

Now you have a pure black and white image in a bitmap file. You can open this in Paint and save as JPG.
Sep 4, 2024 · The only efficient solution I found is to send the document to my phone, use an app called Genius Scan, convert to black and white each page separately as the tool does not run for full documents. I am truly surprised that a market leader like Acrobat does not have a predefined tool for this.
Mar 6, 2018 · So I have a large, multi-page grayscale pdf that I want to convert to only two colors: solid black and solid white. Any shade of gray lighter than a certain value becomes solid white, and anything darker becomes solid black. Is there an easy way to accomplish this in Acrobat Pro?
Mar 7, 2012 · Choose Tools > Print Production > Convert Colors. In the Conversion Attributes section, choose Conversion Profile and pick a grayscale profile (for example, one of the Dot Gain or Gray Gamma profiles). Click OK. If you have Acrobat 9: Choose Advanced > Print Production > Convert Colors, and follow the remaining steps.

So in word I went to FILE -> OPTIONS -> DISPLAY -> And then CHECK :white_heavy_check_mark: the box "Print background colors and images". And that was what caused the problem.
