Jun 28, 2019 · Sep 17, 2019. #1. CIBC says that they refunded my money on Sept. 5 and that transfers can take 8-10 days. My local bank (BPI in the Philippines) tells me that they can find no trace of the wire transfer. I was told that they don't see any pending transfers or any floating amount equivalent to what I'm expecting back from CIBC.

Hello there, my case is a little different, I requested the refund because of the visa rejection in July 2023, CIBC requested some documents (ASIF and Rejection letter from IRCC) and approved my refund on August 29th. Since then they say they "successfully" transferred the funds but it is a lie.
Jul 2, 2019 · CIBC has an overseas account in Standard chartered Mumbai and you have to send the amount via RTGS. Once this is done, take the RTGS reference number. The A2 form which is sent along with payment instructions is necessary to be filled for foreign transfers.

Jan 22, 2023 · You must submit a GIC certificate (Investment advice letter) while filling visa. However, you must submit a Welcome letter to CIBC bank to activate your GIC account in Canada. Jan 22, 2018 · If you did the wire transfer from other country it usually takes 4-5 business days excluding the holidays as it goes through from your bank to third bank and then to the destination bank depends on how your bank sent the funds. I would suggest you call the telephone banking at 1-855-236-4272. Hope this helps. E.

If you cannot understand them, then I suggest you go to the bank to do the transfer and take help from friends and family to complete the A2 form. Read the payment instruction given by CIBC. Your need to make a RTGS or NEFT transfer to the account mentioned.
Apr 4, 2019 · In normal case, you will get confirmation (GIC Certificate- Investment Advice Letter) within two days of payment. Otherwise, it may take upto 5-7 working days. Dont worry, there is no such payment confirmation mail sent by CIBC, they directly send the GIC certificate which also states your payment confirmation.
