I was about to start a meeting and my camera (the one that's part of my laptop) wouldn't work in the meeting platform, but then I realized not even the Windows camera app was working, showing me the attached image. I tried rolling back the driver, uninstalling driver and scanning for hardware changes, rebooting, shutting down, and nothing.

Nov 25, 2021 · In the Allow apps to access your camera section of the menu, choose the setting that is most applicable for your webcam. Under Choose which apps can access your camera , select your preferred individual settings to On or Off .
Jun 24, 2024 · I just resolved this for someone else. Check your web browser's permissions. My user was using Chrome, and I checked the privacy settings and the permissions for the microphone and camera were set to "no access" or "don't allow". I deleted those entries, tried Teams via web browser again, and I got the prompt to allow the mic and camera.

Apr 30, 2023 · I have latest build of windows 11 22H2 version. few months ago, when the windows spotlight for desktop was introduced, it had few glitches. one of them was where i had the option to delete the desktop icon saying "learn more about this picture" (it was a temporary bug in explorer where it gave me the option to delete it).
Jun 1, 2022 · My camera was working fine last evening, however when I tried opening my camera on google meet, it shows a camera with a slash in the middle icon. So I thought that it's just the site that has a problem, but that icon appeared again when I tried to use my camera installed in the laptop.
