In comparing British Gas options, am offered The Fixed Tariff v5 and Fixed Tariff 12M v8, with almost identical projected savings for my usage, and no obvious wording differences. Seems to be a slightly different standing charge but rates show as the same.

The current agreement (annual boiler service, boiler controls cover, central heating cover, plumbing and drains cover and unlimited breakdown callouts and boiler claims) comes to an end at the end of August, but it has increased by £100 a year (to £610).

Nov 19, 2022 · British gas are the worst company to deal with. You will get different advice depending who you speak to and some will outright lie to you. Best avoiding speaking to them if you can, or go on the online chat and put in complaint and maybe you get through to someone competent. FiestaRed Posts: 99 Forumite.

Feb 14, 2024 · I've been struggling with British Gas for quite some time now - repeated errors, incomplete bills, arbitrary adjustments. For a long time I have been overpaying, with British Gas promising that this will be resolved via their Direct Debit adjustment process. However, once again my Direct Debit has increased rather than decreased.

Be aware - Something has gone wrong with the Gas Energy figures displayed in the Gas section of the EnergyUsage data graphs within the BG Online Customer Account system. The Gas USAGE £s and the kWh figures are incorrect and are definitely displaying much lower values than they should be.
