'Bride' likewise relates mainly to the actual ceremony itself; it's not the same as 'wife'. The two might have been engaged (she's been a fiancée) for a year or more, and might already be living together.

Whichever way, the meaning of "Happy the...presents" rather escapes me, apart from the obvious - the bride will be a happy person, being a bride, and getting all the presents.

You might say "My sibling has a problem with that" or "My sister has a problem with that" but would be much less likely to say "The betrothed has a problem with that" than you would be to say "The bride has a problem with that."

The parents of the bride are the groom's mother-in-law and father-in-law and vice versa. There is no relationship connecting the parents of the couple and, hence, no name.
