Its totally legit, as long as you know they don't ship books together and it takes a few weeks. I ordered 8 books at once and all 8 came on separate sequential days. Book Depository is owned (and operated as far as I know), by Amazon themselves. I live in Canada and have made multiple purchases from Book Depository.

Book Depository works very well, does what they promise, but is these days owned by Amazon. Wordery does all the same things Book Depository does, and is not owned by a major book retailer. Caevat: I am in the EU. It will be interesting to see how Brexit will affect all of this. 3.
Dec 27, 2017 · Book depository isn't like Book Outlet or Thrift Books, they don't sell used books of varying conditions, only new. If you're worried about shipping damage, they mail the books in bubble envelopes or cardboard mailers usually.
Sep 14, 2021 · The page on book depository doesnt state anything useful, other than it was "dispatched" last aug 12. I live in the province (Quezon) so that might delay it but it'll really be useful if i could know where in the world it is just like how we can track packages on lazada, shopee, lbc, 2go, etc.
Dec 27, 2020 · While you can't buy books via BD, I was able to purchase some books with EU delivery via Abebooks.co.uk. Bookdepository has a store there and you just need to look for them among the available copies of the book you are looking for. The prices have gone up significantly, but the BD pricing is still within RRP.

Book Depository signs up for IOSS, charges you VAT and the book is shipped to you directly, bypassing customs. The package is specifically labeled so that the taxes have been accounted for. Dec 10, 2021 · The first time I tried to order from book depository I was ordering an Australian book series that is out of print in North America but still in print in Australia and the UK. I'm assuming Book Depository was importing which lead to some of the issues but: The books didn't show up, for AGES after their estimated arrival date.
