Jun 4, 2021 · Before Sunrise has the best ending I've ever seen. First one is 11/10, second one is 10/10, but the last one imo is 6/10. The third is definately the weakest, but I would put Sunset over Sunrise. The dialogue and characterization felt sharper and I liked the real-time aspect of it.

Not the ones who felt a sense of belonging, when they first met. Their life goals have shifted, aspirations have made compromises and they don't hold the system or government accountable in a big way now.

Has only 3 characters, is set entirely inside an hotel room, takes place in real time and it's awesome. Watch before sunrise, then take a day and watch boyhood, then take another day and watch before midnight. . Don't binge em.
Jul 25, 2018 · Yes! I watched Before Sunset first - didn’t know anything about Before Sunrise at the time - and was spellbound. I get nervous recommending newcomers to watch the 2nd one first but it was honestly incredible for me. 2.
The plots were very simple, yet really realistic, relatable and dramatic. The trilogy magnificiently captured the overwhelming force of time, which we rarely take notice of. The European setting was also romantic. Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy really did a good job of making the movies feel extremely realistic.
Feb 1, 2022 · Before Sunset is still just the two walking and talking, but anything annoying about the characters is completely justified by their maturity in the second film. I'd even go as far to say that those annoying traits become genuinely satisfying as starting points of development
Oct 30, 2011 · and has a nice cameo of these two characters. Before Sunset is one of the few perfect movies ever made... even with Ethan Hawke. Linklater's got the skills to pay the bills. If you want to experience a continuation of the characters, check out "Waking Life," also by Linklater.
