My Grandfather, William Hinks, was the Licencee at The Beehive Alehouse where he lived with his wife Minnie and children. Their son Jack and daughter Connie came with them and two more daughters were born there - Norah and Marjorie.

Dec 25, 2010 · Our houses were demolished in 1969 (when I was 14) and we moved to the new estate on corner of Cape Hill and Raglan Road (just behind where the Beehive pub used to be on the corner). That new estate was completed in 1969 - all the houses in Wills Street and Reynolds Street were demolished to make way for it.

  10. The Beehive was opposite my old school, Soho College (the building is still there but no longer a school). I often used to take a short cut through the gates at the left hand side of the pub, through the Court, which had brewhouses at either end, and into Terrace Road (I think) which in turn led into Villa Road.
