Dec 21, 2010 · Athabasca (Canada’s Open University) is indeed credible (holds both CAQC and MSCHE accreditation); however I personally believe the Athabasca option to be much overpriced (e.g., $43,500 MBA www.mba.athabascau.ca - Tuition and Fees - MBA and /or its DBA at $52,500 www.mba.athabascau.ca - Tuition and Fees - DBA even in CAN Dollars is, in my view, exorbitant for non-AACSB program/s. Athabasca programs are additionally assessed applicable surcharges for students residing outside of Canada.

Jul 1, 2008 · Athabasca University readily accepts regionally accredited credit hours and based upon their request for details course outlines for the nationally accredited credit hours they might also accept those credit hours on a case-by-case basis. Remember, the Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) at Athabasca University requires actual senior-level (300 and 400 series) courses and even for the BGS the number of senior-level credit hours is relatively high.

Aug 13, 2012 · Ashford is accredited by HLC through 2014-15. If you get your degree before then, it should be a regionally accredited degree, even if they are unable to renew their accreditation later. Actually, the HLC is going to be reviewing everything in Feb 2013 and making an accreditation determination then.

It may merge with Ucalgary or stop offering distance education outside of Alberta. Like Uphoenix, AthabascaU stop being innovative and creative. Thus losing its leadership position.
