A man from AMMYY Administration called me saying he was a Microsoft tech. He scammed me saying I had 37000 viruses on my system and he could fix it.. He now has remote control of my system; I have no idea how to fix and secure this situation. I have run several full scans which inform me there are no viruses, etc on my computer.
Nov 24, 2012 · They use legit remote access software from Ammyy to offer (and in our case, access) to work on your computer remotely. But Ammyy isn't any part of the scam. I have read a number of the posts here about this scam, but haven't found one with my issue, which is I now can't get into my computer.

Jul 13, 2014 · I got the typical ammyy scam about twenty minutes ago: some guy called me with a heavy Indian accent saying that he wanted to help me with my computer by getting me to go to www. ammyy .com through the Run prompt. Long story short, when I hung up he called back - and forgot to hide the number he was calling from: 661-748-0240
-AMMYY-Computer problems-Work for microsoft. I hanged up and shut down my computer just in case. (I"m paranoid) I turned back my computer on and the guy called me again. He asked me why did I hanged up and I told him it was an accident. He asked if I downloaded AMMYY yet. I told him this "I ain't getting my computer hacked today, buddy."
Ammyy Scam. I fell for the Ammyy Scam yesterday. I gave my personal account info. After doing so, I started to think about what I had done and called them back. I told them I DID NOT want to purchase the certificate to fix my computer. The man then asked why and I told him I thought it was a scam. He assured me "No Mam this is not a scam."
