Just prepare normally like how you should prepare for an in-person interview but the annoying thing here is that you aren't given enough time and you can't really engage with a camera like how you would with a person.

  4. The assessment is for a store assistant. It only lasts 15 minutes. I think the maths test etc are for the area manager roles. Update: The interview was because my video interview didn't go through onto the system so they decided to invite me in instead.

  5. I went to a Aldi experience this Monday and it's really ok. About 30 minutes was spent doing health and safety stuff, nothing too interesting. We also had to talk a little about ourselves (there were 2 others doing their Aldi experience with me), but it was a really nice atmosphere, nice and chilled out.

  6. I saw an advert for a Stock Assistant in my local Aldi store. I know the sales assistants have to be 18 and over, because they have to sell the alcohol. However, a stock assistant doesn't sell alcohol, and apparently their apprenticeship scheme hires 16-18 year olds, plus other supermarkets allow under 18s in most places.

I worked at Asda previously on front end while I was studying for 3 years - you generally had targets speeds for checkouts also which I think was 22 items per minute - however this was never enforced by bosses at my store. Aldi is a lot more strict - you must do everything from running tills to stocking shelves.

  10. Argveg1517. 2. Original post by Lowtzy. I feel like my experience went really well on Tuesday, I wore shoes, trousers and a smart shirt. Was shown around the store and partnered with two members of staff helping out stocking some of the frozen section. Still not had a call as of yet.
