Entry to Ground Duty Branches is through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) conducted by IAF followed by Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview. Successful candidates would be directed to report for training if making it in all India merit list.

AFCAT – Air Force Common Admission Test. For all entries other than NDA and CDSE and for all branches, candidates have to undergo the AFCAT. The test is conducted twice a year in February and August. Advertisements inviting applications for AFCAT are out in June and December.
