Oct 11, 2010 · Wild boar ain't got nothing on Buffalo! you should see some of the old valleys around Marion lakes and what not. Used to have to trail ride through an actual tunnel of willow and buck brush now it is a clear cut of willow stumps and sink holes. You could see an honest 20-30 moose every trip with a pile of caribou and deer thrown in.
So, I was out last weekend and come across that looked like a bunch of wild pigs. harvesting them. After getting home and googling it apparently it is perfectly legal to harvest them. I saw them on a FSR in a wet almost swampy area. Curiously there was a road leading off the FSR. that had a "private property" sign on it.

Jun 3, 2024 · There is a road that passes right below the slide the bear was in -it’s in rough shape- so the closest most people would get with a vehicle is ~2km away. Also, it was 400m up the slide, which was choked out with vine-maple for the first 300m and, from experience is filled with tire size boulders in some stretches.

Keep doing these steps and you will have bulls come in. Best time to use a moose call is during the moose rut, in northern BC it is typically the last week of September and the first week of October.

Jun 2, 2024 · This boar walks right up and starts woofing at us, staring us down and acting all cranky. Another bear had come through same direction not too far away (in a hurry I should add) a few minutes before which we mostly ignored, so I'm guessing this boar was all jacked up on hormones after a sow or pushing off another boar.
