Jan 9, 2024 · I have: Disabled Hardware Acceleration. Change Network Caching to 1500ms and File Caching to 2000ms. Change Default Video Output to DirectX (DirectDraw) Reset Preferences. Even gone down a version from VLC 3.0.20 to 3.0.9.2. Computer Specs: Windows 11 OS mentioned above is completely up to date. AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor at 3.70 GHz.
Aug 7, 2013 · I have a new HP laptop with an Windows 11 and an AMD Ryzen 7 5800U in it with 8Gb of memory. Playing .mp3 files from my Synolgy NAS server and VLC pauses every 10-15 seconds or so while it appears to retrieve the next tranche of music. The green progress bar turns yellow for 1-2 seconds. This does not happen with Windows Media Player.

Jun 21, 2024 · Postby David_L312 » Fri Jun 21, 2024 5:40 pm. Have a new Surface Pro 11 (Plus, not Elite). VLC 64 bit in emulation mode is working fine. Latest daily VLC Windows ARM 64 is not working. I downloaded and installed the .exe... it paused for a few minutes during installation, then completed. First time I tried to run it nothing seemed to happen.

Aug 25, 2024 · I have just updated my desktop to a new Dell Inspiron Windows 11 Computer. When I download VLC all seems to be well. However when I load a video and play it, a number of things happen. There is no sound. My cursor disappears. Initiating Task Manager does not Work. I am unable to stop the playback (no cursor)
Nov 29, 2023 · On Windows 7 and above, you should use Direct3d11 video acceleration. Make sure to set VLC like that: Tools -> Preferences -> Video. Output = Direct3D11. Tools -> Preferences -> Input/Codecs. Hardware accelerated decoding = D3D11 Video Acceleration. Save, exit and restart VLC for the changes to take effect.
