Ok actually I figured it out, it depends on the dataset you select in earthexplorer : If you select Landsat Surface Reflectance - L8 OLI/TIRS, you get the corrected ones (with xml) and if you select L8 OLI/TIRS, you get the uncorrected ones (with the MTL.txt). Kind of obvious in retrospect, but I didn't check carefully enough when selecting the dataset.

Mar 25, 2016 · answered. Add a comment. The smaller the measurement unit a resolution is the more detailed your image will be. It represents the area included in a single pixel. This applies to all raster data. The difference between the USGS and EU DEMs would be miniscule since it's a difference of 5 meters (which is why you probably can't tell).
