Dec 20, 2010 · I followed the excellent Synfig tutorial on cut-out animation and now have a master file for a poseable cutout figure. For a new character I just copy the master file to a new directory and use a photo editor to cut out the new body bits - keeping the same part names. I can now generate a completely new cutout animation figure in about 10 minutes.
Mar 5, 2015 · Hi! Here is a free character for people who want to play around with the features of rc1 of Synfig and don’t feel like drawing. It’s a simple frontal character rigged with bones and automatic patches to hide joint overlaps. Side and three quarter views are in the works. Have fun. License is in the sif file. Oct 24, 2010 · Encapsulate all stuff you want to reverse. Convert the TimeOffSet parameter of the paste canvas to Linear. Set the Rate subparameter of the Linear to be -1 (one second back per second it passes in the timeline) Set the OffSet subparameter to be the time when you want to start the animation to reverse in the future. -G.

Depending your needs, the official recommendation is to export as a H.264 Lossless animation to be able to use a Non-Linear Video Editor after. Don’t forget that GIF is a lot limited in terms of color palette.
Dec 29, 2010 · Synfig Studio has incorporated recently the control of video codec and bitrate for ffmpeg renderer. If you install the latest version from our website you’ll get benefit of that feature. With it you could export directly to a video file format without need to assemble the png sequence in any external application.
