Mar 12, 2020 · Set the multi-meter to the 20 volt DC setting and put the probes on the two solder pads and check the reading. If you get somewhere around +4 to +6 volts, the red (positive) probe is touching the positive (+5 volt) wire). If you get a negative voltage reading, just reverse the probes.
