New to this sub, and rc cars in general. Bought my son a MonsterJam Megalodon. It's ok, but at some point I might be asking you guys for a good next step. However, the bad news is that the controller has got smashed. My fault, I closed the boot of the car on it : (. I have tried to fix it but it is not happening.

May 7, 2023 · It's a good fit for his age and a great way to introduce him to RC cars without diving into the more complex and expensive hobbyist options right away. my knowledge is dated but Traxxas Slash is a good choice. the 4wd might be easier to drive but it does come with higher cost and more moving parts.
Jan 14, 2022 · RC unit is a must. It's an instant teleport mechanism to wherever you've parked it up. I often leave mine at my Autoshop, deliver a Customer Vehicle and you can instantly respawn back there once you've completed your delivery by selecting it then starting a job/mission and backing out without starting the job.

It stays on the ground more than the Stampede which makes it easier to control but you lose the smile factor that the Stampede wheelies give you. Traxxas Rustler XL-5 - Not great in the grass compared to a monster truck but they're very good trucks
Jan 24, 2022 · Traxxas and Arrma are great for the basher market. Losi/TLR, Tekno and Team Associated are great for racing. And Axial has a lock on crawlers. And Tamiya makes neat kits. Personally I like Traxxas for bashers and TLR for racing.

Mar 14, 2018 · RC cars can get pricey. Especially the ones that go fast enough for a dog to chase. If you google “RC chase dog”, many forums and threads will appear. Read both dog forums and TC car forums to make a decision. Keep safety in mind. I’ve heard of sighthounds accidentally dying in RC car chases (crashing into trees).

The cars I’m looking at right now are -Losi LMT Grave Digger -Traxxas rustler -Traxxas Summit -Arrma Vorteks -Arrma Granite -Arrma Typhon -Losi Tenacity DB Pro -Arrma Outcast -Arrma Big Rock. I just want something I drive around on grass, pavement, snow, and maybe dirt.
Please help me figure out this RC project. I am making a novelty rc car to carry around my watch collection. The plan is to have two motors and a controller fit inside the bottom box of this tool box stack to move with a tank drive and have the watches be in the cases mounted above. It should only move a max of 5 mph and it weighs about 100 lbs ...
