Nov 15, 2022 · Rate my professor is one data point. It tends to work better for gen-Ed’s and weed out classes. It’s great for first years that need aggregated info about who to avoid. It’ll tell you if a professor routinely ask the class to stay late or locks the doors 5 minutes after class start. Reading the comments is more helpful than the rating.
Jan 29, 2023 · You can’t just go off the rating as students will rate a professor 1 just because they were strict with deadlines. However, it’s easy to tell reading the review if it’s a bad professor or bad student. One of my best professors was rated a 3.0 but the reviews mad it clear he was rated down just because his class was hard.
On rate my Professor, however, reviews on the professor couldn’t be more wrong. Of course, I’m not saying the professor was flawless and some criticism of the professor was valid, however, if one puts their grade as anything below a B and negatively rated a professor, I’m hesitant.

In my experience my experience rate my professor attracts those who either felt overwhelmingly positive or negative for a professor. There’s some red flags that it can help you detect such as the quality of their lecture, how often and useful their textbook is, and what to expect as assignments for certain courses. 1.
Jun 6, 2024 · Makeshift Rate My Professor. Unfortunately I enrolled in a MA 141 class without checking whether the professor was a good one or not. It turns out he’s not. So now I’m trying to find a different section to enroll in. I found one that could work for me and it’s taught by Lorenzo Micalizzi. I can’t find him on Rate my Professor though.
Aug 3, 2023 · When you’re filling out the form, just type in the course code instead of selecting from the list. I have no idea why it’s so unintuitive. 1. Share. thecelestron. • 9 mo. ago. You also can't have spaces in the course code -- whoever coded this is a dumb mongrel. 1. Share.
