Apr 11, 2021 · aykay55. •. For any future people having this issue, the Bypass Paywalls extension or any similar extension is not playing nicely with Quora's security and its preventing login. If using Bypass Paywalls, you can uncheck Quora in the little popup and Save. Reload the page and you should be able to log in.

It turned out to be the Bypass Paywalls extension that made the ajax/receive_POST call to return 400 Bad Request, which in turn prevented all kind of Quora logins from working. Version 1.7.8 and the current version 1.8.1 of this extension makes the Quora login fail.

I don't know if my installing Ublock Origin, two Bypass Paywall extensions and one Quora Login Bypass were part of how I did it, but..I'll just put that there. Jun 23, 2021 · Since mid-2018, Quora seems to have started using IP addresses to try to detect “users with multiple accounts”, particularly after a ban. It’s worth noting that Quora doesn’t ban accounts - it bans people… so creating a new account after a ban is an automatic violation that leads to the “banning” of the new account.
Oct 26, 2020 · To use the filter, open the uBlock Origin dashboard, go to "My filters", paste it there, and click "Apply changes". Then open/reload some Quora tab to see the result. Disclaimer: I wrote this filter in a couple of minutes by inspecting the page's HTML tree, and performed no testing beyond seeing that it removes the unwanted popup.
