Aug 28, 2018 · On the US-International keyboard under Windows, if you have two Alt keys, the right one gets remapped to AltGr. If you don’t, using Ctrl+Alt provides the same functionality - that is, to enter ß, you would use AltGr+s, or Ctrl+Alt+s. For the pound-sterling sign £, one would type AltGr+Shift+4, or Ctrl+Alt+Shift+4.
Oct 3, 2014 · Alt + 3 should do it. This works on US keyboard settings without modifying anything, out of the box. £! If you are using a mac labeled keyboard, it will be Option + 3. Today, as far as I can tell, on my Macbook Pro with a US keyboard setting, you need the "fn" key to press Alt as described here and (fn)Alt+3 will do a £.
Jun 13, 2011 · 1. As already discussed on SuperUser, using the U.S. International keyboard layout that comes supplied in the box with Windows, the pound sign is AltGr + Shift + 4. According to Apple, this is thus Option + Ctrl + Shift + 4 on the MacBook Pro keyboard. I saw that, and I'm afraid neither of those combinations work on my MBP.
