In some ways Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is really about Tarantino wishing that blissful late 60s time continued, and all the stars and movies of that era kept being made. I get the feeling he doesn't much like the cinema of Scorsese, Coppola, Hopper, Friedkin and the rest of the New Hollywood crew.
A faded television actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the film industry during the final years of Hollywood's Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles. Director: Quentin Tarantino. Writers: screenplay by Quentin Tarantino. Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton.
Almost every aspect of Bruce Lee from that specific point in time (Green Hornet era) was inaccurate - hair style, fighting style, even his attitude. Bruce was arrogant but he was also fully aware of the cultural climate around Hollywood at the time and it's hard to believe he would blatantly antagonize so many people and risk losing his job.

Dec 11, 2019 · I don’t think there’s a message but it’s just a telling of the end of “The Golden Age” in Hollywood and the beginning of film in the 70’s. The tension is between the older generation (Cliff/Rick) with the newer generation (Hippies and the Manson family). A lot of people consider the Manson murders the death of the hippies but in ...
Jun 29, 2021 · Update, re: condition of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood paperback. My mom returned my copy of the book a few days ago, and I gave it a read in the meantime. I'm happy to report that, aside from the normal wear and tear (I confess: I dog-ear) the book is in fine condition. Maybe, unfortunately, you got the paperback version of an automotive lemon.
