This Hindi satirical comedy-drama film follows a Gujarati athiest Kanji Lalji Mehta played by Paresh Rawal who runs a shop of idols selling Hindi idols that is completely devastated by an earthquake.
One day, an earthquake occurs in his business locality and shockingly, Kanji's shop is the only to be destroyed. When the insurance company covering his shop refuses to pay for the damages as the policy doesn't cover "ACT OF GOD" perils, Kanji decides to take God itself to the court.
