Jan 12, 2024 · However, if you are in two minds then you should still attempt MRCP Part 1. Here's why. Firstly, by attempting Part 1, you are setting yourself apart from mediocrity. If say, you attempt Part 1 during FY2, you will be offered the CT1/ST1 job if you and another candidate received the exact same shortlisting or interview scores. Although you don ...

Nov 1, 2024 · Hello, I want to know how to best start preparing for MRCP Part 1. I am currently an F1 and I plan to take the exam during my early F2 year. I've done quite a bit of research in terms of learning/revision resources, but at the moment, my clinical knowledge is so lacking that I don't know which is the best to start with; books or online banks ...
Jan 1, 2020 · Hi, I'm sitting MRCP part 1 in January 2020 (next week!) I've done the official MRCP practice paper online but the website doesn't give a pass mark! I got 111/200 (55%) but no idea if that's a pass. (I'm guessing not) Anyone got any clues as to whether 55% is a pass? Thanks!

I used onexamination, of which 20% of the actual MRCP part 1 questions seemed to identical to questions I answered from the onexamination question bank. I wouldn't worry about doing the exam in September. The closer people attempt it to medical school, the higher the pass mark.
I just switched from OnExamination to PassMedicine after being told it was more similar to our exams here at Peninsula... Holy crap, this thing is about 10x harder than OnExamination, and 90% of questions are basically "have you memorised the guidelines?", the other 10% being "do you happens to know which of these obscure diseases is most associated with this random condition?".

I used Pastest for Part 2 written-it's got about 30 of the past papers and ~2,400 questions to work through. I used it (among others) for part 1 and found it bore the most similarity to the exam with about a third of the questions ones that I'd seen before when I sat the exam but for part 2 it seemed that the questions in the exam were harder than those I'd practised with only 1 or 2 out of the questions being ones I'd seen before.
