Mohanlal Viswanathan ( IPA: [moːhɐnlaːl ʋiʃʋʷɐn̪aːt̪ʰɐn]; born 21 May 1960) is an Indian actor, film producer, playback singer, film distributor, and director who predominantly works in Malayalam film industry besides also having sporadically appeared in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films.
He is the son-in-law of late popular producer- K. Balaji. He is the highest paid actor of Malayalam film industry. He has his own official blog site, and an android app as well. He is the owner of Pranavam Arts (Film Production Company) and Pranamam (Film Distribution Agency).
Family. Mohanlal belongs to a Keralite Hindu family. Parents & Siblings. Mohanlal’s father, Viswanathan Nair, was a lawyer and former bureaucrat. He retired as a Law Secretary with the Kerala State Government. His father passed away in the year 2007 at the age of 80 due to age-related diseases. His mother Santha Kumari is a homemaker.
