It's incredibly hard to moderate and despite conflicts with curseForge in the past, if Modrinth were targeted instead there would have been a significantly higher impact I'm contrast to cF.

Nov 13, 2023 · Edit: I made this post a couple hours after doing it and got some details wrong, I just did it again and what I did is download the pack through polymc which needed curseforge key then I import the pack from polymc to multimc then imported it to modrinth, so I was off but only by a step. 2.
The Modrinth App is great, but it's limited to stuff from Modrinth, while Prism has access to mods/resource modpacks from both CurseForge and Modrinth as well as packs from CurseForge, Modrinth, Technic and a few others. There are also a few more niche use cases where Prism is better, e.g. running modded 1.7.10 with newer versions of Java.

Modrinth and Curseforge are the two main websites for getting java edition mods. There is a chrome extension which will warn you when you are about to enter most untrustworthy websites for downloading mods.

Because it's run openly by members of the community, it leaves more of the pie to give to mod developers (probably, hard to measure) Ideally, use Modrinth to download everything.
