Oct 23, 2024 · Unless they're the older .doc format and you want to convert them, there is no need to do so; Office 365 can handle them just fine. Office 2007 .docx and .docm files need no conversion. When converting the older .doc format, documents: • containing macros will need to be saved in the .docm format; otherwise the macros will be lost.

Jan 6, 2018 · After updating, every time I open Microsoft Word, it brings up a window that first says "please wait while Setup prepares the necessary files," then changes to a progress bar and "Configuring Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007". It takes around a minute to complete the configuration and open Word, and it happens every time I open the program.
Mar 18, 2017 · 3/17/17 I see that Microsoft has "retired" the old Word 2007, in 2017 and I was having the most difficult time downloading again my Word 2007 and it wasn't recognizing my valid Product Key NOR my old Order #, HERE is a download link that works, for those of you who may need it.
