A code object in Python is simply compiled Python code. So you must first compile your script file and then execute it using exec ().

Sep 16, 2009 · The "cls" and "clear" are commands which will clear a terminal (ie a DOS prompt, or terminal window). From your screenshot, you are using the shell within IDLE, which won't be affected by such things. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to clear the screen in IDLE. The best you could do is to scroll the screen down lots of lines, eg:

Mar 12, 2013 · In Finder, go to IDLE in Applications (in the Python folder) as if you wanted to open it. Right click and select "show package contents". Open Contents, then open Resources. In Resources, you'll see a file called idlemain.py. This file executes when you launch idle and sets, among other things, the working directory.
Oct 11, 2015 · Open IDLE. Go to "OPTIONS" in the top tab. Select "Configure IDLE". Select "Highlights" from top horizontal tab. Select "Background" radio button just above the image of IDLE on the left hand side. On the right hand side under "Highlight Theme" click on "IDLE Classic/IDLE Dark/IDLE New" as per your preference.
Jun 6, 2011 · Completing the answer supplied by the OP: after setting the breakpoint - you must turn on IDLE Shell's debug mode (using debug --> debugger). When you run the program, press "Go" in the debug window that opens up and IDLE will stop at the breakpoint. IDLE Shell is the window that appears when you hit F5 to run your Python script.
Apr 4, 2013 · Open the IDLE.app bundle: in the Python 3.11 folder in Applications, open the IDLE.app application bundle by right clicking it and selecting Show Package Contents. In Contents>Resources you will find idlemain.py. This is the "Bootstrap script for IDLE as an application bundle." You will need sudo to edit this file.
Jul 1, 2015 · 2. When you use plt.show(), the python subprocess enters the GUI toolkit's event loop and blocks until the event loop exits. When it exits, you get the prompt back. If you are using the TkAgg backend, you'll need to move your mouse over a figure after you press Ctrl+C. That will cause the event loop to stop.
Oct 20, 2020 · I'm fairly sure this is because pygame isn't installed with my current version of IDLE. I've tried numerous different pip commands trying to install it, but none of them seem to work. 'python3 -m pip install -U pygame --user', I've even tryed upgrading it with 'sudo pip3 install --upgrade pip', and 'sudo pip3 install pygame==2.0.0.dev6', and 'pip3.9 install pygame'.
