If your blank page is in the middle of the document, it may be due to a manual page break. With paragraph marks turned on, you will be able to see the page break. Select it and delete it.

And then you need to place the mouse in front of the section break, and press Shift+ ︎ then press delete to delete Section break (next page). Jun 2, 2018 · For a book, you should also have Different First Page enabled, and the First Page Header should be blank (you can have a page number in the footer if desired). But none of this will cause Word to add a blank page unnecessarily; it will happen only to present two odd pages in succession, which would spoil the book. Microsoft MVP (Word) since 1999.

Turn on the display of non-printing characters by clicking on the Pilcrow button in the Paragraph section of the Home tab of the ribbon and then select the new line and paragraph mark on the blank page, shown highlighed below, and then press the Delete key three times.

I have a document formatted with 'next page' section breaks to include both landscape and portrait pages. The second last page has a table on a landscape page and a next page section break below it. The last page is a blank (except for the paragraph mark) portrait page.

Under certain circumstances, the section break, or actually the blank paragraph containing the section break, may cause an extra page (this might happen below a table, for example). Formatting it as 1 pt font size, exact line spacing 1 pt, zero spacing before/after should fix it.
I've tried to delete the paragraph marks to get rid of the blank pages, however, they cannot be deleted! I've looked online to see that one of the options for removing blank pages is to simply go to the Navigation panel, choose Pages, click on the unwanted page and then hit delete.
