Jan 2, 2021 · Once translated into text, it can be edited in Word. Keep in mind, though, that conversion from pdf produces formatting quirks. It is often best to copy the text into a new document, pasting as plain text and adding your own formatting. Volunteering to "pay forward" the help I've received in the Microsoft user community.

Jun 7, 2023 · Hi there. I use Edge to view PDFs because there is a built-in way to add text boxes to markup the document. I recently updated to version 114.0.1823.41. Firstly I noticed that when I open a PDF I previously edited, there is a * next to the filename in the tab that indicates I have unsaved changes, even though I haven't made any changes.
Aug 19, 2017 · Actually, OneNote does a better job of OCR. In OneNote 2016 (I think it is same in 2013...) go to Insert tab > Files group > File Printout to get the PDF into One Note. Then right click on it and select Copy text from This Page / All Pages of the Printout. This copies the text to the clipboard.
Mar 12, 2019 · I have PDF documents saved in One-Drive. I need to edit them to add more information to the documents and save those. These are documents used three times each year and I have had them on One-Drive for a few years. This is the first year I have had issues. Thank you for your help.

In the Choose a Document to Insert dialog box, click the file you want to attach, and then click Insert. If prompted for additional options, click Attach File.
Jun 19, 2024 · By using PDF standard, documents can be viewed consistently on different devices, which is just the reason Adobe created this file extension. If you just need to make minor modifications to a PDF, using a PDF editor would be fine. Adobe Acrobat is a powerful PDF editor with all the features that a PDF file can do.
Apr 25, 2022 · In other words, if I make an edit in Chinese text it doesn't directly display in Edge. But the edit is indeed there since I can open the PDF file in another editor like Foxit PDF Editor online and can see the Chinese text I had entered previously in Edge (but where Edge was not showing or displaying the font chars for some strange reason).
Jun 12, 2023 · Two workarounds I have found until this issue is fixed are: 1) Right click the document and open in an InPrivate Window. 2) Set PDFs to open using Chrome. Steps: Windows Settings --> Apps --> Default Apps. Then click on the [Choose default apps by file type] link at the bottom.
