Aug 2, 2019. Perhaps you first need to switch-off its backup function in the main settings under the 3 small lines and then also remove your account from it (then it becomes a passive gallery). And then you may be able to switch-off the app in the main app settings and clear cache and data.

Dec 11, 2022. I'm sorry, but you can't use the Google Play Store on Amazon devices. Amazon actually puts blocks in their devices to keep them from working with the Play Store. Amazon only wants to allow you to use Amazon's own App Store. If you search around, there are tutorials that claim to be able to work around this, at least partially.
