Gangaa's (Amitabh Bachchan) father is murdered by his uncle, Thakur Hansraj Singh (Amrish Puri). His property is usurped, and he and his mother are rendered homeless. He vows vengeance. Years later, as an adult, Ganga meets and falls in love with Jamunaa (Meenakshi Sheshadri).
