Just took one yesterday, and it took me 15 minutes. If you use the free official airport shuttle running outside (which you have to do since you have luggage), it will take you up to 30 minutes, from the point you left the doors of terminal 1 to the point you entered the door of terminal 2.
Jul 26, 2018 · Coming from Frankfurt central station, one would usually take the S-Bahn (and not a "regular" regional train) to the airport as they run more often (1 regular train/hour vs. 4 S-Bahn trains). Since the S-Bahn leaves from the lower floor and IIRC the trains are announced on separate boards, I think it's worth mentioning them explicitly.

Feb 21, 2013 · Fortunately, Frankfurt Airport has made a "Transfer Guide". It describes how to get from each terminal to the others, using their Skyline train, Eshuttle and walking. In addition, it points out that if you have less than 30 minutes for your connecting flight, you may use the fast lane at the security checkpoint, giving you a bonus speed option to get through if you're worried about passing those points.
Apr 9, 2017 · I regularly went through Frankfurt airport last year. My company typically booked my schedule with about an hour layover. I'm really tall and walk fast and was able to make it. It helps if you pack light and know the drill for the security screening. (Empty pockets, Laptop/Tablet in its own x-ray container).
