Apr 18, 2021 · Generally, the rule is low buffer size when recording voice/instruments, playing on a MIDI keyboard, etc. and high buffer size when mixing/mastering. Apr 2, 2021 · So last year I bought a Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen and a few weeks ago my mic input has suddenly become insanely quiet. I've gone through every sound setting that is on my pc (including turning up the levels in the pc) and it's still coming in quiet. I tried buying a new mic and a new XLR cable to see if that would help.

Using Shure MV7 with USB straight to PC works 100% fine, but low gain, so I got the Solo. Now going XLR -> Solo -> PC only getting the left-hand side of the audio. Jan 29, 2020 · Just leave it set to Real Tone Cable! -Verify your scarlett solo is set to 48000 sample rate and 48 buffer size. -Edit the RS_ASIO.ini file you downloaded, put semicolons in front of the ; [Asio.Input.0] section, and remove the semicolons in front of the [Asio.Input.1] section (my file is inserted below for reference. Oct 14, 2020 · Scarlett 2i2 (not scarlett solo) puts out 6.5mW into 300ohms before clipping, which translates to 5.5mW into 350 ohms, less than what is available to get you to 110dB but enough to get you to 105dB. Look up the specs of the headphones you want and look up ASR for measurements of the amp you want and then repeat the calculations to see if it works for you.
Oct 24, 2022 · What fixed it was to install Nvidia "Studio Drivers" instead of "Game Ready Drivers". also before finding the fix, two things seemed to make things better : enabling "Low Latency Mode" to "On" and "Power Management Mode" to "Prefer Maximum Performance" in Nvidia Control Panel settings > Manage 3D Settings. Dec 12, 2023 · Focusrite 2i2 3 gen is cheaper than solo 4 gen. Just saying. The big improvement IMHO is that the 4th gen now has a dedicated headphone volume, so that is a nice touch. The preamp is apparently a big improvement too, but I would argue for people buying a $100-ish interface that isn't necessarily a reason to spring for 4th gen.
