Jul 25, 2023 · The Ministry of Heavy Industries formulated Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India Phase II (FAME India Phase II) Scheme for a period of five years commencing from April 01, 2019 with a total budgetary support of Rs. 10,000 crore.
FAME II has been extended for a further period of 2 years i.e. up to March 31, 2024. For Electric 2 Wheelers, demand incentive has been increased from Rs. 10,000/KWh to Rs 15,000/KWh with maximum cap increased from 20% to 40% of the cost of vehicles.
