Dec 7, 2018 · Instead of just getting it done through an agent, I decided to look up online and found 2 new firms. 1. Acko. 2. Digit. Acko is Bombay based whilst Digit is Bangalore based. Both have an aggressive pricing policy and Acko is backed by Amazon. So if you go through Amazon Prime to the Acko site and generate a quote, the quote is even lower as far ...
Another question, Dealer insurance price is Rs 36000 for the Sonet PETROL DCT variant. However, Acko - Rs 22000 (with several add-ons) Digit - Rs 33000 (with several add-ons) Digit makes no sense as the difference is only 3k with the Dealer's price. Thoroughly confused.
These Super Saver plans by default include a Voluntary Deductible (VD) of ₹5,000. And hence, Acko is able to quote a much lower premium than others. Although CoverFox does mentioned the VD through an information tool tip, this, I believe is highly unethical for two reasons -. 1.
Tried the help option, Acko customer care had no clue and Digit didn't call back on time. Policy Bazaar interface was much better and I had the policy generated in 5 minutes. The quote from New India Assurance via Policy Bazaar was lower than Acko/Digit courtesy the NCB. Re: Acko & Digit, the new insurance firms.
Once I concurred, the amount got credited under advanced cash settlement, though they said it may take about 48hrs for processing. Great. My experience was also similar, except that there was no visit by the surveyor. Acko estimated around 11k for repairs and credited 8.8k in my account.
Hope you recover fully now. I am sure your heart must be in pain when the scrap dealer was taking it away. Regarding Acko, I found them very competitive compared to others. I was also checking their website for my upcoming car insurance since the dealer is quoting around Rs.33000. Acko quoted me around Rs.19000.
Called Acko, got connected instantly, claim submitted within 1 hour of accident, got a claim handler assigned and tow services were arranged promptly. I was not charged for towing for 200kms. Being a 10 year old car, depreciation was explained from the policy documents (50% metal, plastics, 0% labour, 15% paint etc).

ACKO has become India’s latest unicorn after the digital insurer raised $255 million at a valuation of $1.1 billion in a fundraising round led by private equity firms General Atlantic and Multiples Private Equity. With the latest infusion, Acko has raised a total of about $450 million.
Third party + regular (non zero dep) insurance was quoted at Rs6500/- for an IDV of 6.10 lacs. Was busy so couldnt renew that day and again browsed the website through their iOS app one day before scheduled renewal. This time, the premium quoted was Rs25,000/- for an IDV of 5.90 lacs.
