Aug 1, 2022 · I used Codecademy several years ago and thought it was really good. But I went back to check it this past years and got the feeling they haven't been doing much with the site since then. Also the python 3 course is (or atleast was) behind a paywall, and you probably don't want to bother learning python 2 at this point.
Aug 25, 2021 · But if you already know the fundamentals of programming in another language is probably decent for just transferring over to python I picked up what python I know through CS50. it's only a few weeks worth of python, but it really clicked for me.
I learned quite a bit from codecademy. I've learned python, bash and git there. It's great for learning a language from scratch and getting a hang of the basics. I don't care much for the projects, however. And outside of the basics, they tend to abstract away the logic of what you are doing.
Mar 29, 2018 · I've been learning Python across both Codecademy and Codeschool for about a week now and I'm trying to decide if I want to upgrade and pay for more courses. Codecademy doesn't feel interactive enough for me personally. Codeschool is awesome but it's $30 a month and I believe that's in USD but I live in New Zealand so it'll be close to $50 for me.
I'm not sure how much "a little bit of python" is, but if you are comfortable with running basic Python apps, one strategy I use for learning a new programming language is to just pick a task or project, create a programming-language agnostic, high-level design (maybe even pseudocode), break it down into subtasks, and try to code those subtasks.

Sep 8, 2022 · So, I checked out Codecademy, for the first time since I was in middle school. It seems pretty comprehensive: 14 languages from Python to HTML and Shell to MongoDB, 15 subjects ranging from cybersec to game dev to even interview prep, and a new "Projects" section with 9 independent projects at the time of writing this (all, admittedly, seemingly geared towards website development).
codecademy it also got algorithm courses which is a must asked in job interview. i love the interactive environment, and i get to write my own code and get feedback immediately, instead of watching the vid and follow along. i definitely recommend combining both codecademy and udemy ,youtube, coursera. so u get the best of both world.
Sep 1, 2015 · Yeah, you'll have to keep track of which Python version you're learning. Syntax is subtly different between the two. Learn Python The Hard Way and Codecademy are 2.x, Invent With Python is 3.x (although I think the Making Games ones are 2.x for compatibility with the libraries they use...). This may have affected your experience.
