  5. Aug 16, 2013 · Incline bench press and dumbell bench press are better at targeting the chest than flat bench. Incline bench gets the upper chest if you have good form. I've multiple multiple threads in the past regarding this. I can't feel my chest on most chest exercises. I mainly feel it in my arms and shoulders.

  6. Feb 28, 2007 · No one needs 6 exercises for chest unless there on AAS. Just keep it simple. Flat Barbell Bench press Heavy Low Reps. Flat Dumbell Bench Press Medium-Heavy Medium Reps. Im not on a split but i do those exercises on an upper day. I do 2-3 exercises for chest, i am on upper/lower, so same as MM, kinda. I'm not really a Sensei.

  7. May 9, 2010 · On chest exercises, you really need to be able to keep your shoulders retracted and 'push out' your chest to keep from over involving the delts. Have you tried pre-exhausting the triceps first?

  8. Jul 23, 2010 · My chest workout is as follows: Flat Bench 3x8 Incline Bench 3x8 Incline Flyes 3x8 Flyes 3x8 After every chest workout, the next morning my shoulders are aching quite badly. It seems to all be on the front delt. Is this common/normal? If not, where am I likely to be going wrong? I suspect my bench press technique may be wrong as I am only pressing 67.5kg (150pounds) for 3x8 and I weigh 12 stone (168 pounds).   9. Dec 4, 2008 · I wouldn't focus on making progress, but maybe maintaining your gains until the surgery?? Because a lot of exercises involve the anterior delt and hitting it hard until your surgery will probably continue to damage it. I'd suggest maybe to lay off the freeweights for shoulder and chest related exercises and hit the machines?

  10. Jan 26, 2012 · When doing chest exercises I always felt in in my shoulders rather than my chest. It eventually became a problem because my initial (dumb) solution to the problem was to just up my weight for chest because maybe I just wasn't using enough weight for my chest.
