Finally installed the CANON lbp 2900B on my new windows 10 laptop. 1) download the driver for windows 10 32/64 from the canon website to your laptop. 2) connect the printer and switch on. 3) go to printers and scanners and you will find canon usb device. 4) go to properties and click on change settings.

And its a perennial issue for me. Same printer is working good with windows 7. I have done uninstall and installing driver. I have stop and start print spooler for 10 times

Extract it to get a folder containing directory 32-bit_Driver/Debian, enter inside. Install the .deb file cndrvcups-common_2.60-1_i386.deb from the terminal:
