Finally installed the CANON lbp 2900B on my new windows 10 laptop. 1) download the driver for windows 10 32/64 from the canon website to your laptop. 2) connect the printer and switch on. 3) go to printers and scanners and you will find canon usb device. 4) go to properties and click on change settings.
Oct 11, 2023 · My canon printer model number canon lbp 2900, i have installed on my window 11 os laptop but the print spooler is stoping itself after printing 3 to 4 page print. And its a perennial issue for me. Same printer is working good with windows 7. I have done uninstall and installing driver. I have stop and start print spooler for 10 times

If you follow the instructions [exactly] given on the website - you'll most likely find that your printer now works. If at this point it doesn't work, locate it in control panel and install the driver by pointing to the folder containing the driver.

The best option would be to completely uninstall that printer, restart the PC, then go to the support page for that printer on the Canon website to download and install the version of printer drivers, firmware and associated software they provide for that printer model.
Sep 25, 2024 · Based on the model, it seems that it is connected via USB, and its official driver only supports Windows 10, not Windows 11. It is likely that Windows pushed an update that updated the printer's driver to an incorrect one, making the printer cease to function. Try checking the Windows update history to see whether that is the case.

When the computer is in S mode you can't install applications outside Microsoft Store, you can search Canon website for the driver if they provide it in the Store, if they don't have it you cannot install the printer driver in S Mode. In this case our best option is to switch out of S mode.
