Jan 1, 2024 · Kolkata is the old capital of the British Raj and has the third biggest population of any city in India. So expect big crowds, roaring traffic, grandeur colonial architecture and a labyrinth of bazaars with the holy Hooghly river connecting it all. I hadn’t heard or read great things about Kolkata to be honest.
