Blessy Ipe Thomas (born 3 September 1963) is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Malayalam cinema. He has won one National Film Awards and six Kerala State Film Awards for his feature films Kaazhcha (2004), Thanmathra (2005), and Pranayam (2011).
Blessy when he was an assistant director. Initially, he did not intend to become a scriptwriter, but when he felt dissatisfied with the scripts written by other writers, he started writing scripts for his films. When he narrated the story of his first film Kaazhcha to Mammootty, Mammootty encouraged him to write the story himself.
