Jun 4, 2021 · Before Sunrise has the best ending I've ever seen. First one is 11/10, second one is 10/10, but the last one imo is 6/10. The third is definately the weakest, but I would put Sunset over Sunrise. The dialogue and characterization felt sharper and I liked the real-time aspect of it.
Dec 24, 2021 · Before Sunset takes place around the mecca of love, Paris. But you realize, Celine and Jesse are not the same people anymore. Not the ones who felt a sense of belonging, when they first met. Their life goals have shifted, aspirations have made compromises and they don't hold the system or government accountable in a big way now.
The plots were very simple, yet really realistic, relatable and dramatic. The trilogy magnificiently captured the overwhelming force of time, which we rarely take notice of. The European setting was also romantic. Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy really did a good job of making the movies feel extremely realistic.

Mar 1, 2020 · If you get a chance, watch Tape, it's an overlooked film in Linklater's catalogue. Has only 3 characters, is set entirely inside an hotel room, takes place in real time and it's awesome. Watch before sunrise, then take a day and watch boyhood, then take another day and watch before midnight. . Don't binge em.
Feb 26, 2021 · Blaze_2002. First impressions on Before Sunset. This might be the most sad I’ve ever been when credits started rolling. I feel like I could have watched another two hours of this. This is such a heartbreaking movie. It is a tragic story about regret, and how one decision could change your whole life.
Nov 1, 2012 · Like others, make sure you check out Before Sunrise. Also a third one has been filmed called Before Midnight. They shot it very quickly back in August I think, in Greece. If you don't object to gay content, there is a British movie called Weekend. I basically refer to it as the gay version of Before Sunrise/Sunset.

Jul 20, 2022 · Before Sunrise is, in my opinion, a perfect film. There's not a single thing about it I'd change. The dialogue, the cast and their chemistry, the pacing... it's all perfect. Before Sunset and Before Midnight are both must-watches as well in my opinion. It' such a uniquely beautiful trilogy, watching this couple grow in their relationship.
