Fixed not being able to upgrade from Bane of Arthropods VI to VII directly on Weapons. Bane of Arthropods buffed to 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100% on Spiders and Silverfishes for levels 1-7. Replaced the book recipe Collection unlock with a 25% Exp Discount. Bane Of Arthropods is an Enchantment that is primarily applied to Swords.
Bane of Arthropods does only does bonus damage to 3 monsters, and so does something like smite - Except there's isn't much reason to attack zombie pigmen, so why is Smite better than Bane of Arth.? Smite is mostly helpful against skeletons, as zombies are fairly easy to kill in the first place, and I'd say spiders are more difficult to fight than zombies...

Oct 13, 2011 · The first link I see when googling "Arthropod" is wikipedia, which is plenty accurate enough for this. Image searching gives you a good idea as well. When I enchanted my first weapon I got this, and while I had an idea, I still was unsure, so I googled it, took no time really. Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack.
Bane of arthropods is useful. Only in Vech's maps (and other maps of a similar style) because of the nature of the maps, where there are tons of cave spiders and what not. But in actual survival, even on hard difficulty, it is very easy to defeat spiders.

Jul 22, 2013 · I haven't had a chance to play 1.6 yet but I was looking at the enchanting page on the wiki and noticed that the description for the way sharpness, smite, and Bane of Arthropods works has changed. Sharpness used to add a random amount of damage between 0.5 a heart and 1.5 hearts per level but now it adds a fixed 0.625 hearts of damage per level.
May 23, 2024 · Bane of Arthropods is the most OP enchant I was doing the ‘enchant a diamond sword’ achievement with the enchanter kit, got bane of arthropods, went mid, and destroyed a guy with full mid armor What enchants have you guys gotten that allowed you to win the game? I garuntee whatever you got isn’t as OP as bane of arthropods
