Jun 14, 2019 · Audio Repeater is required in such setup because the "Listen" Windows feature is bound to a recording endpoint, not to a playback one, so you can play recorded sounds to a single playback endpoint only. Audio Repeater from VAC package can be used freely, you can extract it from VAC trial package, and use together with a free alternative.
find shortcut Audio Repeater (MME) under Start Menu; for each output device run Audio Repeater (MME) , then set Wave in to Line 1 , and Wave out to desired output device. You can use Audio Repeater (KS) instead of Audio Repeater (MME) , but former is for kernel streaming (think ASIO, etc.) and I don't think you can control audio volume as easily ( Playback devices ==> Playback ==> Device ==> Properties ==> Levels ).

Fire up Windows Media Player. Go to Tool, Options, then click on the Devices Tab. Doubleclick the speakers and switch the output to, say from Back Speakers to Front Headphones. Now you have Youtube through the Back connections and an MP3 going on the front headphones.
I am thinking of getting this, powering it with a 9V battery and streaming audio from my phone to this, then boosting the signal and streaming it to my class 1 Bluetooth stereo headset (Motorola S705).
Oct 19, 2010 · Make sure to use Audio Repeater (MME), not KS (Kernel Streaming) - Bluetooth device names are all Unknown in the latter and the application hung up badly when I tried to stop the streaming (the process can't be killed!). Works fine with the former, although I have use a different buffer size for the second repeater to get synchronous audio playback (iTeufel Air Blue 1000ms / BT Bamster 985ms).
I found a way to do this with Virtual Audio Cable and 1 Skype open. Open VAC Control Panel and make 2 lines. Open 4 Audio Repeater (MME)s. Set the First to Wave In: Line 1 and Wave Out: Speakers or primary output device. Set the Second to Wave In: Primary Microphone and Wave Out: Line 1.
Jun 21, 2021 · I opened up two instances of the audio repeater application and piped their respective audios like so: Audio Repeater #1: Stereo Mix -> Virtual Cable Audio Repeater #2: Microphone -> Virtual Cable I then set my Discord input device to be the Virtual Cable, and voila, when I hit play in VLC, they could hear both the audiobook and my voice.
Sep 29, 2014 · Set the default sound output device to Line 1 (the playback end of the Virtual Audio Cable). This is done in the context menu of Line 1 on the Playback page of Sound settings. Check Listen to this device and select one of the outputs in the list box. Use the Audio Repeater program included in Virtual Audio Cable to play Line 1 to the other output.
Aug 19, 2020 · The Software Virtual Audio Cable includes a Virtual Audio Cable and freeware Audio Repeater. The Freeware Version of VAC provides a single virtual audio cable which is enough for the defined setup. Download and Install; the virtual audio cable gets selected as default input and output device, I set them back to pre-install defaults
