Govardhan Asrani [3] (born 1 January 1940), known popularly by mononym Asrani, is an Indian actor and director whose Bollywood career has spanned five decades. He has acted in over 350 Hindi films. Asrani has played the lead roles, character roles, comedic roles and supporting roles.
At the beginning of his career, he worked in 4-5 Gujarati films as a lead actor. During his struggling days of acting in order to earn his living, Asrani worked at Film Institute in Poona as an acting teacher. Interestingly he was also a student of the same institute once.
