Ashwatthama (Sanskrit: अश्वत्थामा, IAST: Aśvatthāmā), also referred to as Drauni, is a warrior of Indian epic, Mahabharata and the son of Drona and Kripi. In the epic, he serves as a friend to Duryodhana, the eldest of the Kauravas. He was trained in warfare along with the Kauravas and the Pandavas by his father, Drona.
