Feb 12, 2022 · Just to make things clear: Anki App is separate from the Anki ecosystem and you're advised not to download it. AnkiMobile (the official mobile version) is indeed $20+ on the AppStore. If you want to use AnkiWeb and sync with desktop, I recommend buying the app - plus it supports the developer.
Mar 25, 2019 · However since the Anki app for $35 will sync with the free desktop version, the $35 Anki mobile app is superior to the $70 AnkiApp. IMO if the AnkiApp came out with a free desktop version, I'd choose that one. I also sense that the "real" Anki, the one that has desktop + mobile for $35, has a slightly superior spaced repetition system

Jan 15, 2022 · FYI, the iOS app is the Anki developer's only income stream, so it's paying for all of our free AnkiWeb accounts. AnkiDroid is a different app, made by a different developer, so it's not a 1:1 comparison.
Jun 11, 2023 · The app is so worth it though. I’d try to get enough money on a debit card and just connect that to your itunes account. If you don’t have a debit, get someone to buy it for you as a ‘gift’ on the app store and pay them back. The interface is just a lot easier to use.
Jul 9, 2023 · I was misled into downloading the AnkiPro app thinking it was the app that would sync with the Anki desktop version. I discovered my mistake (that the app I needed was AnkiMobile) as soon as I started the free trial but repeated efforts to cancel the AnkiPro have failed (I'm on day one of a three-day trial). Jan 12, 2023 · AnkiMobile (the paid one) is the only official Anki app for iOS, and is also the only way that the Anki developer gets paid for all of his work across everything related to Anki. AnkiApp is a lookalike and is not related to this subreddit (except for people who confuse it for being a real Anki app).

Sep 21, 2023 · Github Copilot, I create my flashcards in markdown file in VS code with copilot enables, use P: for prompt and then start typing Q: some question and typically get generated right answer from the copilot like in the image below, then use simple python script to sync with anki connect (SAVED before P, Q and A means that the flashcards for given prompt have been already created)
Oct 11, 2021 · I recently downloaded Anki and it seems to function the same (more or less) as Anki Universal. However, I am not sure if the algorithm is the same. There are also more features on the Anki app than Anki Universal, but I care more about how it functions than its features.
